📝 First Name / Last Name

Function: Edit your display name.

Your name appears throughout the Ekan Trade platform, in communications, and on any documents or invoices generated for your account.

What You Can Update:

👤 First Name: Your given name
👤 Last Name: Your family/surname
🎨 Display Name: How you appear on the platform

Why Keep It Updated:

📄 Accurate Invoices: Legal documents reflect your real name
📧 Personalized Communications: Emails address you correctly

Navigate to My Profile
Click on the name field you want to edit
Enter your updated information
Click Save Profile to apply changes

Keep It Professional

Use your real name rather than nicknames or aliases. This helps with account verification and official documentation.

📧 Email Address

Function: Your login email (read-only).

Your email address is the primary identifier for your Ekan Trade account and is used for all official communications.

🔐 Change Password

Function: Update your account password.

Regularly updating your password is a crucial security practice. The Change Password feature allows you to set a new, secure password whenever needed.

When to Change Your Password:

🔒 Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Function: Email-based verification code on login.

Two-Factor Authentication adds an extra layer of security to your account by requiring a verification code in addition to your password when logging in.

How 2FA Works:

Step 1: Enter email & password
Step 2: Receive code via email
Step 3: Enter verification code
Step 4: Access granted ✅

🔑 Every Login: Requires email verification code
📧 Instant Code: Sent to your registered email
⏰ Code Expiry: Codes are valid for 10 minutes
🔄 New Code: Request new code if expired

Protect Your Account

We strongly recommend ALL users enable 2FA. The minor inconvenience of entering a code is far outweighed by the security benefits.

❌ Disable 2FA

Function: Turn off email verification.

While we recommend keeping 2FA enabled, you have the option to disable it if needed.

How to Disable:

Navigate to My Profile → Security
Find the 2FA section
Click Disable 2FA
Enter verification code sent to email
Confirm your decision
2FA is now disabled

Before Disabling, Consider:

Re-Enable Anytime

If you disable 2FA, you can re-enable it at any time from the same settings page. We recommend re-enabling as soon as possible.

⚠️ Delete Account

Function: Permanently remove your account and all data.

The Delete Account option allows you to completely remove your Ekan Trade account and all associated data from our systems.

What Gets Deleted:

❌ All connected trading accounts
❌ Transaction history
❌ Bot configurations
❌ Affiliate data and earnings
❌ All associated records

What Happens to Pending Items:

Before Deleting:

💰 Withdraw Funds: Claim any available affiliate balance
📥 Download Invoices: Save all transaction records
🤖 Close Positions: Handle any open trades manually
📊 Export Data: Save any information you need

Deletion Process:

Click Delete Account
Enter your password
Type "DELETE" to confirm
Receive confirmation email
30-day grace period begins
Permanent deletion after 30 days

Grace Period:

30 Days: Account is deactivated but not deleted
📧 Email Contact: You can reactivate during this period
🔄 Reactivation: Contact support to restore account
⏰ After 30 Days: Deletion is permanent and irreversible

Irreversible Action

Account deletion cannot be undone after the 30-day grace period. Make absolutely sure you've backed up all important information and withdrawn any funds before proceeding.
